Gambling Harms Support Posted or Updated on 26 Feb 2026

We recognise that gambling can sometimes have a negative impact on people’s health, finances, relationships, and wellbeing. Gambling harms can affect anyone, and support is available.

Our practice is a Gambling Harms Accredited Practice, accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). This means our clinical and non-clinical staff have received specialist training to better understand gambling-related harms, reduce stigma, and support patients in accessing appropriate help.

How we can help

If you are worried about your own gambling, or that of someone close to you, our team is here to help. Our GPs and staff are trained to:

  • Listen without judgement

  • Offer confidential advice and support

  • Signpost to specialist services and treatment where appropriate

You can speak to any member of our team, or raise this during a routine appointment.

Additional support

You can also access free, confidential, and personalised support from specialist organisations:

  • National Gambling Helpline – 0808 8020 133
Available 24/7 for advice, emotional support, and treatment referrals

  • GamStop – A free service to help you self-exclude from online gambling

  • Gamban – Software that blocks access to gambling websites and apps

You are not alone, and support is available.
